Sia Stewart, also known as "Sia Savvy," is a highly accomplished Television Producer, Director, and Showrunner hailing from Oakland, CA. Armed with a bachelor’s degree in media management from Columbia College Chicago, she furthered her academic endeavors, by securing an MBA in Finance from Morehead State University. This solid foundation led her into a thriving corporate career, excelling as a corporate accountant before rising to the role of Senior Project Manager across multiple Fortune 500 companies. She enjoyed many years filled with promotions and accolades, but after more than 10 years in the corporate world, she decided to pursue her true passion of television production.
Sia began her television career in the True-Crime genre, contributing to hit shows such as TVOne’s "For My Man," "Fatal Attraction," "Payback," "Sins of the City," and Oxygen’s gripping "Snapped Behind Bars." Expanding her repertoire, she ventured into VH1's Reality-TV sensation "Black Ink Crew" and several other prominent network programs. However, it was her pivotal roles as Showrunner for ESPN's compelling docuseries "Why Not Us: Southern Dance" and "Why Not Us: Grambling Dance," along with her directorial finesse in Tubi Original Documentaries like "Sneaker Hustle," "Presumed Dead," and the poignant "Gone Before His Time: The Kobe Bryant Story," that solidified her trajectory in the industry.
In 2020, Sia Stewart took a leap of faith, founding Savvy Media Group—a powerhouse production company staffed with writers, producers, directors, and videographers. This ensemble of dedicated industry professionals is fueled by a commitment to excellence. Sia is passionate about amplifying the narratives of women and individuals from diverse backgrounds, fostering pathways for aspiring talents, and promoting inclusivity.
